Thursdays are always my day of 'hardcore' exercise! But first, an accomplishment for me today...I resisted the temptation of the bakery goods. Working in a bakery can often be hard as you get 'spare' cookies going and bits of danish that just happen to 'fall' off the tray...however, I resisted and did not touch anything, not even a crumb! It is difficult because I start early and have to wait a good four hours before breakfast, but I managed to cope, just drank water!
As I'm not following a strict diet it has meant that I haven't binged because if I fancy something, I'll have it. Therefore, I stop after I've had my treat without going crazy! Last night I fancied a shortbread, so I had it and that was it. Done. No repercussions!
My legs really do feel like jelly right now! I decided to up my weight in body pump. As the instructor said "put another nugget on"...only a 1kg but it makes all the difference! My squat weight is now 9.5kg each end so nearly 20kg all in all! So yeah, 1 hour body pump, followed my 1 hour spinning! I really do prefer this, not having a strict diet but being aware of what I'm eating!
Breakfast: Oat bran porridge with goji berries. Peppermint tea & eucalyptus
Mid-morning: Wholemeal toast with half a banana
Lunch: Cornflakes & half a banana, Wholemeal toast with organic reduced sugar peanut butter
Pre-gym: Peppermint tea & hobnob cereal bar (treat)
Dinner: Poached egg, quorn sausage & cottage cheese
Pudding: Cornflakes & banana
Lots of cereal, but I figure it is better to eat a low sugar bowl of cereal than biscuits & crisps!
Another early start tomorrow, going to stay strong...no picking!

Peppermint tea..
Managed to get hold of some peppermint tea yesterday, it is a selection box with spearmint & chamomile and all sorts, a nice alternative to water (or fizzy!).
Didn't snack last night, just had a cup of peppermint tea before bed. It is nice waking up feeling a little hungry!
Working all day today so gonna take my gym kit with me and go straight from work!
Breakfast: Oat bran porridge with cinnamon, sweetener & goji berries
Snack: Wholemeal toast with half a banana & a yoghurt
Lunch: Cold cuts & cottage cheese
Pre-workout: Cornflakes & half a banana

3lbs of bloating vanished...
I've had another positive day today, it is funny how eating healthy can put me in such a good mood! I only have just over a week until my holiday so I'm trying to be strict(ish) so that I'm not bloated when I go and that I may fit into a nice bikini, without splurging over the top!
I weighed in at 10.13 yesterday but down to 10.10 now, which isn't great considering I managed to get down to 10 stone on my first attempt on the Dukan back in March. I'm thinking that I should have started it a little closer to holiday then I would be more motivated, but hey ho!
Breakfast: Chocolate milkshake (yoghurt, fat free chocolate powder, ice cubes, skimmed milk)
Lunch: Cold cuts & cottage cheese. peppermint tea
Pre-workout snack: Cornflakes & a banana
Post-workout snack: Chocolate milkshake
Dinner: 3 x quorn sausages & 2 x poached egg
Drinks: Water, peppermint tea, diet coke
I also went to the gym this afternoon. I did 15 minutes of the X-trainer at varying inclines/speed & 15 minutes on the bike, again varying speeds. I combined this with a combination of toning exercises and 100 lunges! Will try and do 150 lunges tomorrow!

Feeling positive..
Moment on the lips....at least two weeks on the hips!
I woke up this morning feeling positive in the sense that I would be avoiding the biscuit tin today and not even go near the cereal cupboard. So far, I haven't had any cravings, in fact I don't really feel that hungry. I'm still bloated from my overindulging however a few days eating the right things should sort that out.
I weighed in today and wow, I was expecting what the scales said, however I only have myself to blame. A moment on the lips (or 3, or 4, or 5 moments...) certainly does lead to an extended time on the hips, or in my case, thighs! Sometimes it takes me to get to this point before I do something about it, I am a serial (& cereal!) yo-yo dieter!
So far today:
Breakfast: Oat bran porridge with cinnamon & goji berries
Snack: Fat free yoghurt with cinnamon
Lunch: 1 quorn burger & 1 quorn sausage with 2 scrambled eggs
Pre-workout: Milk with a teaspoon of fat free chocolate powder & sweetener
As I am subscribed to Womens Fitness magazine it came through the door yesterday so I'm going to flick through some of the exercises, have a practice with the techniques and then devise a killer workout for this afternoon!
Update later,
Toodles x
So, I went to the gym, had a good workout, 40 minutes cardio and then some toning exercises! I did a bit of shopping on the way home: 2 packs of meat, cottage cheese, fat free fromage frais, a lemon & some ice!
I made a lovely milkshake when I got in: handful of ice, sugar free strawberry jelly crystals, skimmed milk & 2 scoops of fromage frais, blended! Was a tasty post-workout snack!
For dinner I will have cold cuts of meat with cottage cheese and maybe a hard boiled egg.

Bloated, bloated, bloated....
Well, turns out that I'm not very good at writing a blog! When I was on the Dukan forum, I was constantly updating but I guess that is because it was an obsession and I was sticking to the diet! Anyway, I am sooo bloated! I know why, it is because I have been eating crap! I seem to get in to my head that as long as I am exercising, then it counteracts what I am eating (deep down I know this is completely wrong!)
So as I literally have a week before holiday I'm gonna make a concious effort to stick to the dukan until I go away! I've had my fill of bananas....& cereal...& everything that is within grabbing distance in the kitchen so I shouldn't really miss anything too much! When I am focused I am fine, it is just getting focused, which is the problem! I have been paid too, so I can afford to buy some meat & yoghurt etc, just not going to go mad as it is damn expensive!
I need to do this, going to holiday feeling horrible will take the enjoyment away. I want to go out there feeling great and not like a beached whale!
This week I have done: Body pump, Spinning x 2, Gym sessions x 3.
So, if I up this a little, eat right and get positive, the holiday should be good!

The sun is shining..
Day One
Well the sun is shining and for some strange reason this always puts me in a great mood, one where I don't want to eat crap! I got up at 8am and went to a morning Body Pump class, for one hour, followed by 15 minutes on the X-trainer. Early morning exercise always puts me in the right frame of mind for the rest of the day. The Dukan diet views fruit as being the enemy, something which I started to believe however I have now decided to incorporate fruit back into my diet as it does have plenty of nutritional benefits.
Breakfast: 2tbsp Oat bran with skimmed milk & goji berries.
Snack: 3 low GI oatcakes with peanut butter. Bowl of Special K cereal (didn't really need this).
Lunch: Chicken slices, tomatoes, spring onions, cress, spinach, cucumber, red & green peppers, cottage cheese & balsamic vinegar. Fat free natural yoghurt & 4 strawberries.
Snack: wholemeal pitta bread & cucumber with low fat houmous. (will take this to work with me). didn't take pitta bread with me, but ended up eating a bowl of cereal & a banana as well as my cucumber & houmous!
Dinner: quorn sausages & scrambled egg. change of plan: quorn sausages with mashed sweet potato, broccoli, leek & cabbage.
Drinks: 2 litres of water, 1 x peppermint tea, 2 x lemon tea, berroca, 1 x cup of tea.
Big mistake after dinner! Made myself a cup of tea and ended up dunking a few biscuits, uh oh. However, as I wasn't doing much this evening and my blip annoyed me I decided to go to the gym again! I did 15 minutes on X-trainer, 15 minutes on bike & a variety of lunges, toning exercises & ab exercises.
I got home and had a yogurt and a green lemon tea! Tomorrow...no biscuits!

24 days to get bikini ready!
Goodbye to the Dukan way of dieting
I am not new to the blogging world as I have recently had a diary on the Dukan Diet website. However, due to my poor relationship with food I found it difficult to follow so have decided to do a blog about my eating & fitness, without following any particular diet. On the Dukan I lost a stone, however as soon as I fell off the wagon I gained a considerable amount of weight. I feel this may be because the body has gone from one extreme to another. I also became extremely obsessed with the diet, thinking about it morning, noon and night! Which for me, wasn't healthy. Although I am not 100% comfortable with my weight I have less than a stone to lose, so will try and do this through healthy eating and a combination of exercise.
Aims of this blog
I am a 22 year old, 5"6 female.
I currently weigh in at 10 stone 10 lbs. I would like to get to 10 stone 2lbs and maintain!
I managed to get down to 10 stone 1lb on the Dukan, however once I got there I went back to old eating habits and went up and down like a yo-yo!
I really enjoy exercising, so with regards to that I feel healthy, I just need to sort out my eating! I have a habit of binging really bad so I'm hoping that writing down what I eat on a daily basis will stop me from reaching for the biscuit tin!
Wish me luck, 24 days to go before I head off to Spain, can I get my bikini body by then. I may even post photos of my progress to motivate me to stick at it!
